Hello and welcome to the MathCast Project. The purposes of this blog are many; a math resource for students while they are in grade 7 and as they go into grade 8 and a general resource to showcase the value and importance of MathCasts and tablet laptops as a cutting edge resource in education.
My hope is to showcase the value of students collaborating digitally as they think, speak and write math through the use of Jing, OneNote, and a tablet laptop.
In this Project you will find student made MathCasts of a variety of math subjects from the Grade 7 Curriculum. My hope is this becomes an aggregate of MathCasts demonstrating all the skills a student needs coming out of Grade 7 and going into Grade 8.
As well, my hope is the public will see the value of this technology in education as they watch our MathCasts. In addition to student made MathCasts, you will find research, articles, student questionnaires etc., in support of students collaborating to use a variety of intelligences through the use of MathCasts.
